Daniela Bellomo is an Italian and Australian citizen. As the Director of the Biotechnological Transfer Office of the San Raffaele Scientific Institute, she coordinates a group of professionals who manage the extensive portfolio of patents and know how generated by the Institute’s 600+ researchers. A series of licensing and co-development agreements concluded over the last ten years with the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, along with the creation of several spin off companies, has allowed the Office to promote the development of new therapeutic and diagnostic products, born from the Institute’s research.

 

With a degree in Biology from the University of Milan, she went on to complete a PhD at the University of London, followed by an MBA at Queensland University of Technology in Australia. Initially a researcher in the field of cardiovascular biology in the UK and Australia, she has been working in the technological transfer field since 2001. She is a member of AUTM and LES. She is an Adjunct Professor at Vita Salute San Raffaele University. She has authored numerous speeches and publications on the topic of innovation.
